Our Gite in France ‘Petite Florence’
We are Trish and Derek Torbet and own our charming rural gite in France, near Chateauneuf-du-Faou. Named ‘Petite Florence’, it is attached to the main house, but has it’s own front and rear entrances with a private fenced rear garden and a living area of 71m2.
The cottage is situated on a very quiet lane, surrounded by farmland, with all the sights, sounds (and occasionally smells..) of the countryside and just 100m from the Nante – Brest Canal, at this point the canalised River Aulne. The wide, well maintained towpath is ideal for cycling and walking and leads to the nearest facilities just 20 minutes walk away. The closest human neighbours are just visible some 500m away and traffic on the lane is extremely rare!
There is large lounge area, with log burner, English and French television, a pool / mini-snooker table and ample comfortable seating. An archway leads from the lounge into the fitted kitchen, with integrated washing machine, oven and gas hob, a free-standing fridge freezer and a dining table. Double doors lead out onto a tiled patio area with garden chairs and table, leading to the rear garden where you’ll find the Lay-z-Spa Helsinki hot tub. A side gate leads to the parking area adjacent to the house.
Stairs from the lounge lead to the first floor where there is a double bedroom with cupboards and wardrobe, a twin bedroom with cupboards and wardrobe and a family bathroom with corner bath and over bath shower. Heating upstairs is by electric wall mounted radiators.
WiFi is provided free of charge however due to the rural location, this is via a satellite connection and performance is very much weather dependent and subject to local conditions.
Please also be aware that we do not have charging facilities for electric or hybrid vehicles but several charging points are available at the local supermarket.
PETS ARE NOT PERMITTED AT THE PROPERTY
